Necklace of Jasmine blossom whith faience blue and turquoise tubular beads.

Lenght : 60 cm

Material : antique egyptian faïence.

Conservation : excellent, modern reconstructing of the original arrangement.

Datation : New Kingdom to late period.

Commentaries : This necklace reflects the attraction of the ancient faience jewelry, for modern taste.

Bronze statuette reprsenting the falcon God "Horus".

Description : The God is represented in majesty, wearing the double crown of lower and upper Egypt. The remixes and plumage of the holy animal are finley engraved.

Datation : XXVI dynasty (Circa 664-525 B.C).

Bronze statuette representing the God"Ptah".

Description :
The mummyform God is represented bearing his traditionnal skullscalp and a pastiche beard. He holds the “ouas” sceptre with both hands.

Datation : XXVI dynasty (Circa 664-525 B.C).

Height : 12 cm

Commentary : beautiful patina.

Provenance : French private collection.

Position : Standing.

Datation : Ancien Empire (2700-2160 avant J-C).

Material : Wood & Stuc (carbonate de calcium) with polychromy red and also black on the wig.

Provenance : Old private collection.

Certificat du Ministère de la culture : N° 081397 du 06/04/2006.
Certificat d' Analyse N° 0306-0A-03B CIRAM résutat affirmatif et compatible avec l' ancienneté de l' oeuvre et l' époque. Quatre prélèvement éffectués à des endroits divers et éloignés, stuc et polychromie.

Figure such as this were placed in the tomb as a substitute for the spirit ton inhabit. While the mummified body remained concealed from view in the burial chamber, the disembodied ka-spirit could enter the chapel to receive offerings of food and drink. The Ka, however, required a physical form in which to reside in order to be nourished.The statue fulfilled this need, and could also act as a reserve body for eternity in case the mummy should decompose or be destroyed.

Translation : Play the harp for your "Ka" every day.

Datation : Old Kingdom ( 2686-2184 B.C )
